Different styles of Italian food and restaurants – Part 1

If I had to choose my favorite style of food and favorite style of authentic cuisine, I would choose Italian. Everything from it’s amazing flavor to it’s authentic aura to it’s use of ingredients, as well as, herbs and spices. Italian food is so good and so amazingly diverse. In fact, I am not afraid to admit that Italian food is as diverse as the individual who eats it. Italian food, without a doubt, reigns supreme. I really love authentic Italian food from Milan and Rome, but I also enjoy country Italian food from Tuscany, as it is just amazing, as well. Italy is definitely the best place on earth to eat Italian food, however; there are many places in major cities around the world that make Italian food just as good. Especially in city areas where the Italian population is bigger than the average quo.

There are quite a few amazing Italian restaurants all over the world and in the United States. Some Italian restaurants are amazing, whereas; some are amazing for only one thing or vice verses. Sometimes the little places are better than the big, commercial places; however, the larger establishments do well on an entirely different wavelength. As someone who has traveled all over the place, I have to say that one of the best authentic Italian restaurants is Scalini Fedeli in New York City. I’ve traveled to Italy and I think this restaurant is on the same wavelength as most restaurants in Italy, if not more so than most Italian restaurants. The restaurant caters to everyone, without losing it’s authentic Italian edge. Everything about this place was amazing. The food is quality, as well as, quantity and you get what you pay for, if not more than what you expected.

If you are looking for certain Italian foods and specific dishes that are better than the average preparation quo, it’s hard to find just one. Although, I must be reluctant to mention that the best, authentic Italian pizza I ever ate was at Spontini in Milan, Italy. That place had so many different types of pizza it was unreal. I don’t know if they still have the buffet, but Spontini had an amazing buffet that was so diverse and so amazing, you are destined to fall in love with this place. The pizza wasn’t like pizza made in the US (especially for a buffet) the pizza was perfect, as if the person who made the pizza spent a lot of time on each one.

If I had to choose my favorite Italian dish, I wouldn’t because I can’t. Italian food is so authentically amazing, it’s hard to choose just fifty favorite Italian dishes, let alone just one. I don’t know about you, but I just can’t force myself to do it. I love everything from lasagna to pizza to tiramisu to ravioli to calzone to fettuccine alfredo to stromboli to manicotti to stuffed shells to stuffed rollatini to tortellini to pasta primivera to capallini to cheese portabella to rustica to mozzarella cheese sticks to pesto linguine to cannoli to pierogies to ricotta puffs to mostaccioli to spaghetti and more. I love the combination of cheeses and herbs, as well as, fruits and vegetables that bring Italian food to life. Italian food is something to value, hence why it remains to be one of the most popular styles of food on the planet. I absolutely love it!
